This one's a grower, not a shower. While the Godflesh signature elements are present - hostile vocals, bulldozer bass, piercing harmonics riffs - they interact here in sleeker, more contained forms than in the sprawling classic early records. As its title suggests, this record feels like late-in-life expression - mournful, considered. You hear Justin Broadrick's Godflesh, Jesu, and JK Flesh sides converging here.

This starts off sounding very much like its infuences eg Godflesh and Swans which is no bad thing.Then changes appear accordians and dissonance sounding like a soundtrack for a creepy psychological film.This gets even better on repeated listens,so much more than it seems at first.
